I found an article from the San Diego Union Tribune chronicling the fall of Brent Wilkes, a professional political hangar on. This guy’s case is a perfect example of how dangerous it is to have for profit private industries getting government contracts as their primary source of income. These companies lobby members of congress with tax payer money to get larger tax payer supplied contracts. It is insane and a massive waste of your hard earned dollars that doesn’t get reported. These are companies that are private industries who’s only source of income is your tax dollars. They companies then go out and buy up influence by hiring retired generals and others with influence to get them what they want from Congress and the Pentagon. Again, all with our tax dollars. How is this not considered waste? We need to end this process of influence and endless waste of tax payer dollars.
